Here are Dave Marshall and Derrick Ainscough putting in some overtime at the club on the day of the Lancashire v Derbyshire over-50s match. Carl Crawshaw, the club steward, is keeping an eye on them just to make sure that their glasses don't become empty. Bondy keeps an ear flapping! These two will soon qualify for selection and, if they can still stand by the time they have reached fifty, will no doubt be considered!

The day was a great success for the club. It was the first time that an over-50s match has been played at Leigh Cricket Club and a very big effort all round was made to make sure that the visiting players and officials were looked after in the hope that we will be asked to stage further matches in the future.
